Match reports must be submitted by the winning team within 30 minutes of the game ending time for the score to be recorded. Obtain the card from the center official. In the event of a tie; the team listed first on the schedule is responsible for obtaining the card and turning it into the site tent. Match reports must indicate the score of the game and must be signed by the Head Official of the match. Failure to submit the match report may result in forfeiture of the game. The final determination will be made by the Tournament Director only on this matter.
Group or Division winners will be decided on the following basis:
Ties for 1st and 2nd place in Group or Division will be broken according to the rules listed below. An effort has been made to form competitive divisions in selecting tournament participants.
Tie-breaking procedure to determine finalists in divisions with 4, 5, or 8 teams and semi finalist in divisions with 6, 10, or 12 teams will be determined as follows:
If Championship matches cannot be played on Sunday but Semi Final matches have been played to completion, a Champion and finalist will be selected from the semi final matches. If Semi Final matches have not been played to completion, results will revert back to Saturday’s matches for Final determination.
If the Championship match is tied at the end of regulation time, the teams will be given a 5 minute rest and then two 5 minute overtime periods will be played. Both 5 minute overtime periods will be played to completion. If still tied after the two overtime periods are completed, the Champion will be decided by using the FIFA penalty kick procedure.
If the semi final match is tied at the end of regulation time, the winner will be decided by using the FIFA penalty kick procedure. There will be no overtime play in a semi final match.
If a match is tied at the end of regulation time where a winner must be declared in order to advance in a consolation game, the winner will be decided by using the FIFA penalty kick procedure. There will be no overtime play for such matches. (Example: in the 7 team bracket there is a Sunday match where the 3rd place of a group plays the 4th place of the same group to determine who will play the 3rd place team on the other side of the bracket.)
