THE SUN WAS SHINING ON SUNDAY, BUT IT WAS RAINING COATS AT UKROP PARK!!

This past Sunday we partnered with Puritan Cleaners for the second annual Coats for Kids donation event at Ukrop Park. While coming out for travel games, families graciously stopped by to drop off gently used coats for adults and kids alike. Thanks to our RKYSC families we were able to collect over 400 coats to help keep our local community warm this winter.

“It was unseasonably warm and probably one of the hottest days for a coat donation but our families certainly delivered”  Amy MacKenzie, Director of Partnership Sales said. “The way our membership came together to support a cause embodies our organization and I couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of it”.

Puritan Cleaners cleans and repairs all coats before delivering to the Salvation Army to have them distributed in the community. If you couldn’t make it out to our event you can stop by any one of Puritan’s 14 locations throughout the month of November and drop off your coats.
