The RKYSC held its’ third annual Kick Off Fest, presented by Puritan Cleaners, on Saturday, August 12th from 12:00-4:00 PM for its’ membership as a fun festival before kicking off the fall season. There were around 1000 in attendance and over $5,000 raised for the Kofi Nti Financial Assistance Program.

There was fun for all ages including an on field soccer clinic, local food and beer, face painters, juggler, balloon artist, photobooth, obstacle course, firetruck, a coach/kid kick challenge and an All Star Scrimmage comprised of Kickers coaches vs. U15-U19 travel players.

“I love that we are able to make this an annual event! It wouldn’t be such a success without the amazing families we have in our club” Kick Off Fest Director, Amy MacKenzie.

What’s more fun than mingling and having a great time with teammates and coaches before the responsibility of practices and games gets underway. A big highlight of the day was the U15-U19 travel players working to bring home the cup against the coaches for the second year in a row. They fell just short when the whistle blew for a final score of 4-3 for the Coaches.

Kick Off Fest IV returns next year offering more fun and entertainment to Richmond Kickers families. Should you or your business be interested in sponsorship opportunities for the event please email Amy MacKenzie
