Perry Richards has successfully completed U.S. Soccer’s Coaching Educator course and now holds a USSF Coaching Educators License for all Grassroots courses. U.S. Soccer, in partnering with its members and Education Providers as well as FIFA, has invested in creating a structured and systematic education vision and strategy for current and future educators.

  •  U.S. Soccer will establish and expand a formalized Educator Pathway for Grass Roots Pro and all other formal courses
  •  U.S. Soccer will identify and educate Educators and Educator Developers to support the expanded delivery of courses at all levels with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
  • U.S. Soccer will provide development opportunities for Educators and Educator Developers through Continuous Professional Development which will consist non-formal and informal education.

“This program created an exceptional educational journey for me.” said Perry Richards. “I feel I have truly grown both as a coaching educator and coach, over the past year. My passion has always been to support and help coaches grow within the game and achieve their goals. Our aim is for coaches to take what they have learned and experienced, and create a positive, supportive and challenging learning environment for their players. I am beyond excited and honored to be a part of U.S. Soccer’s Coaching Education program."

This 8 month course consisted of four phases 1. Base Course 2. Course Level Specific 3. Apprentice Teaching 4. Assessment. Perry taught both 9v9 In-Person & 11v11 In-Person courses in March at Ukrop Park and is now able to start teaching all USSF Grassroots Courses.
