Longtime Youth Coach Steps Away

Richmond Kickers Youth coach Corey Humphrey has made the difficult decision to step away from coaching. Corey has been an integral part of our U9/10 Travel Program since 2014, coaching at our Bryan Park location and finally with our U10 Boys Elite Black team. Additional responsibilities with his role at VCU means Corey will be travelling more so is unable to commit the time to coaching.

“Corey has been a huge part of our U9/10 program since I started in my position almost 10 years now.” commented Kickers U9/10 Director, Ross Mackenzie “He has made a massive impact on so many young players and it will be sad not to have Corey as part of our staff. On a personal note, I will miss seeing Corey on the field and I’m sure our families will too.”

Corey and the U10B Elite Black team wrapped up their Spring with their best performance of the season. It was a great way to bring to an end a fantastic coaching journey with the club. We wish Corey the best of luck in his future endeavors and the door is always open if his schedule allows him time to coach.
