Ross Mackenzie. (U9/10 & Futsal Director) and Andy McIntosh (U15-19 Girls Director) successfully completed the US Soccer Director of Coaching Course. The DOC Course focuses on developing club leaders working in youth soccer clubs with players ages U6-U19 and candidates must have a minimum of one year experience in a leadership role and a USSF “B” license.
“The DOC Course was such a beneficial experience for me.” commented Ross Mackenzie. “Having the opportunity to learn with and from so many excellent candidates from around the country was extremely eye-opening. I feel like I have a lot of fresh ideas to implement as we strive to continually improve our club and provide an unparalleled soccer experience.”
The 15-week course has learning modules in the following areas: leadership, club performance environment, club philosophy, club player development plan, club coaching staff and will involve both
formative and summative assessments.
“Having the opportunity to be involved in just the third DOC Course offering has been absolutely brilliant,” said Andy McIntosh. “The instructors were top class, as was the course content, and the ability to connect, network and share ideas with directors from across the US has been priceless.”
