ADP and Camps Director, Scott Thomsen was recently accepted as a candidate for his U.S. Soccer National “B” Coaching License. The Richmond Kickers Program Director will spend 6 months working toward the successful completion of the course starting in July.
Thomsen states, "It is an honor to be accepted into the program to earn my B License. Every USSF course I have taken thus far has introduced concepts and ideas that make me think about the game differently. I am looking forward to continue to learn and grow as a coach and director to ultimately help create the best environment possible for our players to continue their development."
The U.S. Soccer National “B” Coaching License course focuses on the concepts of coaching, which include leadership, planning and executing training sessions, coaching team and players in games, team and individual performance analysis and managing the performance environment.
The “B” license course will consist of two-course meetings separated by a developmental period. The total course duration is approximately 6-7 months including monitored coaching sessions as well as presentation and field exams. The in person meetings will take place in Ellicott City, Maryland.
