The U14 Girls Ukrop Park team had a great showing this past weekend in the NPL Finals. The semi-final against SOCA was weather effected, starting on Saturday and finishing with a PK shootout on Sunday morning after a 1-1 tie in overtime. The Kickers girls held their nerve to win the shootout and progress to the final. The final was a well fought battle against Strikers, with Kickers falling to a 2-1 defeat.

Coach Mo Idris commented, "Our team competed at a high level and the girls pushed themselves to their limits. I am incredibly proud of each player for their work ethic and commitment to this team. We exhibited an impressive attacking display against SOCA on Saturday, and resumed play on Sunday morning. After an intense 28 mins of extra time, we succeeded in a penalty shootout. Although we came just short in the championship game, we reached a new standard that is worth celebrating. I am excited to build on this success and work on the areas we need to improve."
