This past Sunday, our Richmond Kickers Boys U14 Elite Red team played the Richmond Strikers in the ECNL Regional League Semi-Finals at the West Creek Soccer Complex. Having previously knocked out Loudon 1-0 in the quarter finals, the team was full of confidence as they faced their local rivals in a winner takes all contest. The winner of the semi-final match would receive an automatic berth to the ECNL Regional League Finals this summer, in Norco, California. 

Kickers took an early lead with a goal from Nathan D’Souza, who scored within the first two minutes of the game. The game was very competitive from there on out with the half ending 1-0. Parker Wootten sealed the victory for his team with a goal late into the second half. The game finished 2-0, which punched their ticket to the ECNL Finals. 

The team will be playing Villarreal in the final on Saturday, April 29 at 3:30pm at West Creek Fields. The club wishes to congratulate Coach Sean Kastetter and the team on this outstanding achievement. We are very proud, and are wishing you the best of the luck in the finals!
