Our Week five Dick's Sporting Goods Team of the Week is the U11 Girls Elite Red team.  Coach Scott Thomsen's girls capped off their spring tournament schedule as Champions of the top bracket of the PWSI Icebreaker.  The tournament win was highlighted by a thrilling penalty shootout in the semifinals versus Mclean to advance, and the girls finished off the weekend with a 2-1 victory against Loudon, with goals being scored by Ryla Ogunware and Cece Vellozzi.   "The girls were able to showcase themselves and compete against some of the best clubs from Northern Virginia and I was really proud of their efforts all weekend," stated Coach Scott.

The players received their Dick's Sporting Goods Prize packs and look forward to taking on the rest of the season with a continued desire to grow and improve.  Congratulations to Coach Scott and the girls and good luck the rest of the season!
