Fest Brings Family Fun for 2nd Year in a Row

RKYSC held its second annual Kick Off Fest on Sunday, August 7th from 4:00-8:00 PM for its’ membership as a fun festival before kicking off the fall season. There were 1500 in attendance and over $4,000 raised for the Kofi Nti Financial Assistance Program.

There was fun for all ages including an on field soccer clinic, local food and beer, face painters, juggler, photobooth, inflatables, obstacle courses, a fan favorite the dunk tank and an All Star Scrimmage composed of Kickers coaches vs. U15-U19 travel players.

“I love that we are able to make this an annual event! It wouldn’t be such a success without the amazing families we have in our club” Kick Off Fest Director, Amy MacKenzie.

What’s more fun than mingling and having a great time with teammates and coaches before the responsibility of practices and games gets underway. I think most might say it’s having the opportunity to dunk their coach in the dunk tank! A big highlight of the night was the U15-U19 travel players taking the cup against the coaches in penalty kicks in the All Star Scrimmage.

Kick Off Fest III returns next year offering more fun and entertainment to Richmond Kickers families. Should you or your business be interested in sponsoring the event please email Amy MacKenzie
