The Richmond Kickers community thoughts and prayers are with the family of Julia Budzinski, eldest daughter of Mark and Monica Budzinski, who passed away in a boating accident on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022. Julia was a multi-sport athlete including volleyball, basketball and has played for several years with the Richmond Kickers travel soccer program. 

"Julia was a hard working young lady who held herself to a very high standard," said Jac White, her Kickers head coach. "She was an amazing teammate, unselfish and encouraging, and was liked by everyone she met. Her energy was contagious, bringing positivity to everyone around her. She loved watching the sunsets and anyone who played with her will remember her taking a break from practice at some point to take in the sunset. Please remember each sunset in her honor."

A memorial scholarship fund has been established in her name which will honor her legacy by supporting the Glen Allen High School community, its students and other beneficiaries.  Click here to read the article about the scholarship.
