For immediate release February 1st 2022.

The Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club is pleased to announce the partnership with Dairy Queen of Virginia and our Little Kicks and U4-U6 programs. Dairy Queen will be the exclusive sponsor for these programs for the Spring 2022 season through the winter of 2024.

“Little Kicks and Dairy Queen have had a successful lasting partnership over the last 7 years and we are thrilled to expand the relationship to exclusive sponsor of our program,” commented Amy MacKenzie, Richmond Kickers Little Kicks Director. “Dairy Queen is the perfect partner for these programs and I am confident that by working together we will further enhance the experience for our families.

Little Kicks is a soccer enrichment program held at preschools and child care centers throughout the Richmond area. Little Kicks also offers their popular At Home Program where families can host the program in their own backyard or neighborhood field. Richmond Kickers professional soccer players and coaches visit once a week for 30-45 minute sessions of soccer instruction, drills and games. Parents enroll their children in a positive, fun activity that does not require extra driving or take away from valuable evening and weekend time. The team atmosphere fosters life skills and socialization at a crucial developmental age. The many positive aspects of the sport diversify and enhance the child’s learning experience.

The U4-U5 program is a fun and easy way to bring soccer into your child’s life! The 6 week enrichment program is designed to develop Coordination, Confidence, Character and Elementary Soccer Techniques. Led by experienced, role-model coaches who deliver our Age-Appropriate Curriculum, with an introduction to small-sided games. Families meet once a week for 45 mins, focusing on basic skill development and an introduction to soccer. There are no additional scheduled games on the weekend for this age group.

The Richmond Kickers Recreational (Rec) U 6 Soccer Program Recreation teams are coached by volunteers. The Rec program goes for 8 weeks and offers two soccer seasons, one in the fall and one in the spring, providing a fun and safe environment for children. The focus is on participation, team building, and fun while kids learn the game of soccer in a minimally competitive environment. U6 have 1 practice a week and a game on Saturday led by committed volunteer coaches.

The Richmond Kickers provide an unbeatable value with programs conveniently located at Bryan Park, Providence Middle School, Magnolia Green, Woodlake Elementary School, Ukrop Park and Hensley Park. We have a program that is perfect for your child!
