RICHMOND, Va. – (Tuesday, February 9, 2021) – The Richmond Kickers Youth Club are pleased to announce the 2021 Camp and Technical Training schedule. This year, the club has expanded their technical training year-round while continuing to offer their popular summer camp programs.

“Our new 2021 Camps and Technical Training programs provide the essential skills and development training needed for players at all levels to be successful on the field in fun, competitive and positive environments,” said Owusu Sekyere, Director of Camps and Technical Training. “Camps are in depth half day or full day sessions with breaks throughout while the Technical Training programs are individual player development sessions including creativity, technical execution and improving confidence on and off the ball. Each program will assist players in meeting their individual and team goals.”

Camps are a great way to enhance your child’s skills on the ball, while also having a good time. In 2021, the Kickers will offer six different camps: 5v5/4v4, Advanced All Day, Ball Mastery, Finishing and Goalkeeping Academy, High School Age Preseason Travel Players and Kickers Futsal. The schedule kicks off during Spring Break with the Spring Break Ball Mastery Camp April 5-8 at Ukrop Park and concludes with another Ball Mastery Camp at the Weinstein JCC August 9-13.

Revamped for 2021, the Kickers have now expanded their Technical Training offerings, specializing in areas such as Recreational, Advanced Development Program (ADP), Technical Skills and Agility, Ball Mastery and Goalkeeping. The club will continue to offer the widely popular seasonal Technical Training sessions that were established this past year and  begin at Ukrop Park, March 12. Along with Sekyere, coaches include former Kickers pro players Greg Boehme and Scott Thomsen and current Kickers youth coach Ashley Arnone.
