U14 Elite Red forward Kendall Funk hit a hat-trick against the U14 Girls Elite Strikers as the team cruised to victory in their third VPSL match of the season. Kendall demonstrated her versatility by scoring three unique goals, with the first being a long range effort from 18 yards. The second came as a decisive 1v1 breakaway and the third a sliding lunge to place the ball away at the far post. Kendall is a recent addition to the squad after being selected from our South Classic team.  

Grace Glerum produced a heroic performance in goal for the Richmond Kickers U16 Girls Elite team, posting a shutout. In one of the most exciting 0-0 games in recent Kickers history, Grace put in a very strong performance in the net to help secure the result. Her distribution was accurate, and she dealt well with crosses and break away situations with a good starting position and early decisions. She made several saves throughout the course of the game, and the most exciting moment was a huge penalty save in the first half followed by dealing with a crazy goalmouth scramble to keep the clean sheet intact. Congratulations to Grace for being a key player within a very strong performance from the U16 Girls Elite versus the Richmond Strikers. It was an excellent contest and hugely beneficial for both the teams.
