Kickers Travel Soccer Tryouts Announced

National Licensed Coaches and Kickers Pro Players Lead RVA’s Top Travel Program

RICHMOND, Va. – (Wednesday, March 4, 2020) – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the travel tryout schedule for the 2020-21 Elite Red, Black, White and Classic teams. Committed to providing an unparalleled soccer experience for club members, the Richmond Kickers are RVA’s top travel program, fielding teams in the U9/10 to U19 age groups for both boys and girls. The travel teams are coached by nationally licensed coaches along with current and former Kickers professional players.
 
Tryouts for the Kickers U17, U18 and U19 Elite teams will kick off the spring schedule on Saturday, April 18 at Ukrop Park. The full slate of tryouts will take place April 18 through May 7 at locations throughout the greater Richmond area. 
 
Players interested in joining our club and who are unable to attend the tryouts, should contact the appropriate Technical Director to be evaluated.
 
 
The Richmond Kickers Technical Staff is comprised of Ross MacKenzie, ADP, U9/U10 and Futsal Director (USSF “B”), Michael Burke, U11-U14 Director (USSF “B”), Andy McIntosh, U15-U19 Girls Director (USSF “A”) and Mark Stollsteimer, U15-U19 Boys Director, (NSCAA Premier), Owusu Sekyere, Director of Technical Development and Camps, (USSF “C”), under the continued guidance of Leigh Cowlishaw, Executive Director , (USSF “A”). 
 
With a combined 70 years of experience, the Richmond Kickers Technical Staff guides the club through innovative and high-quality youth development programming and excellence in coaching, while providing the highest level of customer service and building upon the club’s unassailable reputation for success on and off the field.
 
Among other duties, each member of the Technical Staff will act as a main point of contact for his respective age groups. In addition, the Technical Staff will collaborate to ensure successful player placement and cultivate positive and proactive communication between parents, coaches and staff, while fulfilling the strategic direction of the club.
