The Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club continues to invest in the future of our young players as we begin U9/10 Goalkeeper Training Clinic Series.  Led by Goalkeeper Director Roger Campos, clinics will take place during training at each of our geographical locations and include every player in the program.  The goal of the clinic is to introduce our young players to the goalkeeper position and provide them an understanding each of some of the basic goalkeeping techniques.

“We want our young players to experience the goalkeeper position so they are confident and comfortable when asked to play there.”  commented U9/10 Director Ross Mackenzie “Goalkeeper is a unique and specialized position so it’s important to provide our U9/10 players with and understanding of the fundamental techniques involved.”

“I'm excited to begin working with our youngest travel players” added Goalkeeper Director Roger Campos “This will be beneficial for all of the players and allow me to identify individuals with the interest and potential to be full-time goalkeepers moving forward.  An added bonus to the experience is having our U15-19 Elite Goalkeepers involved as volunteer coaches during with the sessions.  Having positive role models will increase the interest in the position and inspire our future goalkeepers.”

Clinics will start next week at each location and will be offered again in the spring season.
