Expands Relationship to Include Branding on Little Kicks Gear

RICHMOND, Va. – (Wednesday, August 21, 2019) – The Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Dairy Queen of Virginia. Beginning this Fall, Dairy Queen will become the exclusive sponsor for the Richmond Kickers Little Kicks in-school soccer enrichment program. The Dairy Queen brand will be featured on all of the Little Kicks t-shirts and backpacks, plus they will continue to give a complimentary Mini Blizzard to all Little Kicks participants.

“Little Kicks and Dairy Queen have enjoyed a successful partnership over the last four years and we are thrilled to expand the relationship,” commented Amy MacKenzie, Richmond Kickers Little Kicks Director. “Dairy Queen is the perfect partner for our Little Kicks program and I look forward to working together to further enhance the Little Kicks experience for our players and families.

Little Kicks is an in-school soccer enrichment program held at preschools and child care centers throughout the Richmond area. Richmond Kickers professional soccer players and coaches visit the preschools once a week for 30-45 minute sessions of soccer instruction, drills and games. Parents enroll their children in a positive, fun activity that does not require extra driving or take away from valuable evening and weekend time. The team atmosphere fosters life skills and socialization at a crucial developmental age. The many positive aspects of the sport diversify and enhance the child’s learning experience. “In today’s world of modern technology, exercise and quality family time are very important,” added George Lancaster, Dairy Queen of Virginia. “Finding time for both is even more difficult. Dairy Queen’s partnership with Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club serves as a great way for our youth to get some exercise, then share a reward by enjoying your favorite treat at the local Dairy Queen!”
